About The Event

On 13 April 2024 for the second time, a university competition in mathematics will be held at UNWE. Students from all majors and courses in the "Bachelor's" and "Master's" at UNWE can participate in the competition. The tasks are tailored to the material studied in "Mathematics - Part I".

Start of the competition: 9:00

Duration: 4 hours

Place: hall 2007 of the UNWE

INSTRUCTIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION

  • Registered participants must show up at the competition with proof of identity (student/identity card).
  • Participants must bring a blue pen to write with. The use of phones, calculators, etc. is not allowed. technique. Participants receive the necessary paper and a sheet of formulas from the curators on the spot. During the competition, all students must comply with the university's rules of academic ethics.
  • Written works will be evaluated by a Scientific Jury.
  • The results will be published here no later than 12:00 on April 15, 2024
  • Information on the awarding of distinguished participants and receiving the certificates of participation in the competition will be published here additionally.
  • The best performing students in this competition will be selected in the university Olympic team to participate in the National Student Olympiad in Mathematics (NSMO) in 2023

PREPARATION FOR PARTICIPATION

Competitors can use for preparation the tasks given at the National Student Olympiad in Mathematics (NSMO) group В from past years

 OUTLINE

  1. Equations of lines and planes.
  1. Quadratic curves.
  2. Polynomials with integer and real coefficients.
  3. Number lines.
  4. Functions of one real variable: continuity, differentiability, basic theorems of differential calculus.
  5. Indefinite, Definite Integrals and Applications.
  6. Combinatorics.
