Bachelor's degree in Defence and Security Economics

The defense and security field affects virtually every single human activity. Armed conflicts and their consequences on political, economic and social life, such as refugee and irregular migrant flows, rising military spending, inflation, growth of (transnational) organized crime and corruption, both nationally and globally, are just an example in this regard.

The Bachelor's degree programme in Defence and Security Economics was launched in 1990 in response to the public need for qualified civilian experts in the application of the principle of civil control in the management of defence and security resources. Today it is the only one in the country that prepares civilian and military specialists in the field of defence and security economics with a particular focus on conducting research from an economic and managerial perspective. The programme aims to enable students to acquire competencies necessary in making organizational decisions, building specific policies and performing analyses in the security and defence sector.
