Georgi Stamatov holds a bachelor's degree in "Human Resources Economics" and master's degrees in "Insurance and Social Affairs" and "Economics of Security and Defense, speciality "Corporate Security" from the UNWE.

Since April 2023, he has been a full-time doctoral student in the Department of National and Regional Security, where he is developing a dissertation on the topic "Increasing the effectiveness of human resources in security structures in the Republic of Bulgaria"

His research interests include employee motivation and stimulation, organizational behavior and culture, emotional intelligence, security management systems, international standards and good practices, as well as the broader field of migration.
