The Department of National and Regional Security announces the dates and procedures for conducting state exams for its students studying at the Bachelor's College of Education and diploma defenses for the students of the Master's College of Education for the June session of the academic year 2023/24.

For Bachelor students

In order to be admitted for taking a state exam, by 17.06.2024 students must pass all their exams throughout the course and appear in department "Students - Bachelor", counter 11, where they should:

• make reference for their personal data and grades from their university education , i.e. to certify on the spot that all data and estimates are correct and whether corrections are necessary;
• bring two recent photos of themselves in passport format, written on the back with their faculty number

The state exam for the students of the major "Defense economics and
security” will be held on 25.06.2024 from 9:00 am at the test center of UNWE
When taking the exam, please bring yours student book.

The exam will be conducted in the form of a test consisting of closed-ended questions. Upon receiving a positive grade from the exam, the student acquires the educational-qualification degree "Bachelor". Until the diplomas are issued, students can verify this fact by requesting a certificate from the "Students - Undergraduate" department.

For master srudents

In order to be admitted to defend their thesis, by 14.06.2024 every student must pass all his examinations throughout the course and appear in department "Students - Masters", desk 1, where they should:

• make reference for their personal data and grades from their university education , i.e. to certify on the spot that all data and estimates are correct and whether corrections are necessary; 
• bring two recent photos of themselves in passport format, written on the back with their faculty number
• provide a copy of the title page of their thesis
• provide a note from the library, that he does not owe books at the time of the exam.

Additionally, again by 14.06.2024 each student should provide:

• their thesis, pre-agreed and approved by the supervisor, in paper version on site in office 5027 and by email on kvangelova–10@unwe.bg;
• a declaration of authorship (on site in room 5027) certifying that the thesis is an original work of authorship and was personally written by the student;
• presentation of their thesis, which will be presented during the defense, and the same should be sent by email to the administrative secretary of the department on kvangelova–10@unwe.bg (it is strongly recommended that each student have a copy of their presentation on usb flash driveand to carry it with him during defense in case of technical problems with the submitted presentation).

Thesis defenses of the students of the Master's College of Education studying in the majors

• Defense and Security Economics,
• Икономика на отбраната и сигурността със спец: „Корпоративна сигурност“,
• Economy of internal order
• Cybersecurity management
• Business innovations and management with teaching in English (joint program with SA "D. A. Tsenov" - Svishtov)

will be held on 25.06.2024 from 9:00 am in halls 108К, 209К, 309К и 409К, located in building "K" of the UNWE. Students admitted to the defense must appear at least half an hour earlier than the announced starting time.

During the defense, every student admitted to it will have to present his thesis in the time set for that time and answer the questions of the examination committee, including those asked in the review of the thesis. Upon successful defense, the student acquires a Master's degree. Until the diplomas are issued, students can certify this fact by requesting a certificate from the "Student - Master's" department.
